About County Electrical & Mechanical

Meet Evan Davis

Evan Davis has been working with his hands in electrical for more than 28 years, and he opened County Electrical & Mechanical, LLC here in Pottsville in 2016. He served his country, came home, and built a business the old-fashioned way — one satisfied neighbor at a time. When you call 570-527-8107, you are not routed to a dispatcher in another state. You get Evan, and Evan is the one who shows up at your door.

Coal-region houses are their own animal. Between the row homes downtown, the century old singles up on Mahantongo Street and the farmhouses out toward Pine Grove and Ringtown, there is a lot of old wiring hiding behind plaster — knob-and-tube splices, fuse boxes still in service, three generations of additions all sharing one circuit. Nearly three decades in these homes means Evan usually knows where the problem is before the cover plate comes off.

The work is straightforward: give the honest answer, give the price up front, do it to code, and clean up before pulling out of the driveway. Panels get labeled. Drop cloths go down. If something is unsafe, you hear it plainly, and if something can wait a year, you hear that too.
